Finally, a light at the end of the long, cold, winter tunnel. I do believe I suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), and would never make it anywhere farther north without a blue light.
After enduring a weekend of cold rain and two children with the flu, I think a celebration is in order. With temperatures in the 70’s this weekend, I have cracked open my bottle of Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, bought a few weeks ago with dreams of enjoying it on my back porch.
This vodka is handcrafted on Wadmalaw Island, SC, and as the name implies, is a blend of tea and vodka. I was afraid it would be too strong and not really ‘sweet tea tasting’ at all, but on the contrary, it really tastes just like sweet tea with a kick. If you’re a sweet tea lover or a fan of the Long Island Ice Tea, you’ll love this.
Make mine a double.

Send me a bottle or two! This would be great with our friday fish frys.
Oooh, a Friday fish fry sounds good.
This would make a good housewarming gift for a family that is getting ready to move to a farm! 🙂
I’ll be glad to bring some, just let me know when you’re moving!
I think I have S.A.D. too. I feel so much more energized when there is lots and lots of sunlight. I’m thrilled we have sprung ahead for daylight saving time. The weather was so warm and sunny today, I went out wearing my warm up pants and a tank top. Pushing it, I know, but I had to shake off the winter doldrums. This drink looks like summer in a glass!
Matt – Oh yes, it was so warm here last week everyone was breaking out their flip flops and tank tops!
Holy Smokes! This looks seriously delicious. I’m going to look for a bottle this weekend!
